Adult Soccer for Graduating Players

The Lower Island Soccer Association would like to congratulate all graduating U18 players! LISA appreciates your commitment and dedication to the game of soccer and wish you all the best in your future endeavors, on and off the field! While your playing days under the “LISA” banner have come to an end we hope this will not be the end of your soccer playing career.

Lower Island Women’s Soccer Association (LIWSA)

The Lower Island Women’s Soccer Association is comprised of teams spanning from Greater Victoria area, Westshore, Sooke, Sidney (Peninsula), Duncan, Ladysmith, Nanaimo, and Salt Spring Island. We work hard to make the association affordable for all the female players on Vancouver Island (and surrounding Gulf Islands). Our association is run by majority volunteers, who also either play, coach or used to play/coach and continue to volunteer their time. We are always looking for volunteers

We offer a variety of competitive and recreational levels of play, ranging from Premier (top level) to Division 3 (recreational yet competitive). Our league over the last several years has comprised of a total of 54-64 teams per season, which translates to approximately 1000+ registered players from the ages of 18 to 50+. Players interested in playing in the LIWSA on an LIWSA club team, will contact, try out (if applicable) and register directly with the team/club. Follow this link to see which clubs offer an adult women’s program/team: https://liwsa.com/webapps/link_appz/link_defaultWe also have an active Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/liwsa.

Check out game photos from regular season games, LIWSA cup games and BCSA provincial games. Last year we had three LIWSA teams make it to 3 of 4 Provincial Cup Finals. Want to know how many came away with trophies? This was the first time BCSA history that 3 Vancouver Island teams won 3 of the 4 Provincial Cups in one year! They were: Gorge FC Teams Sales (Premier), Gorge United (Division1) and Cowichan Cougars (Masters O30).

LISA strongly encourages existing graduating teams to connect with their home club to express any interest in participating in the U21 division for the 2023-2024 season. For more information on the U21 League, or the VISL in general, please reach out to Vince Greco, vincentgreco@shaw.ca
