Important Information:

All Coaches must be accredited for the level of play at which they are coaching. NEW for 2023 all Head Coaches attending a BCSA Provincial Championship must have at minimum a “National C License – Certified”.

All grassroots coaching course, up to Soccer for Life, are free for LISA club coaches to attend. *LISA will reimburse Member Clubs only, please connect with your home club for access to the coaching course codes.

The Canada Soccer Grassroots Education program consists of two portions. First coaches must complete the online theory of the courses via the CSA’s online portal. Once the online portion of the course has been completed can coaches  register for the on-field practical workshop hosted by LISA member clubs. For full details please see below “How to Register” section.


How to Register

All Coaches must create a “Coach Centre” account and connect with their home club Technical Director or Club staff to receive an “access key” for the online portion of the course they are wanting to take. Following the completion of the online portion of the course coaches will be able to register for the on-field workshop and complete the course requirements.

STEPS:

1. Create a Coach Centre account by clicking here. If you already have one, please proceed to step 2.

2. Redeem your CSA “Access Key” received from your club and follow the steps below to enroll in the online portion of the course:

To redeem your “access key”:
A. Go to https://app.smarteru.com/Custom/CanadaSoccer/registration.cfm
B. Fill and submit the Registration Form with your details. *Note* Information and email address must match your Coach Centre account details.
C. After you complete the registration, you will receive an email with the Login credentials and instructions.
D. To complete the enrollment in the course, please login to the e-learning platform and redeem your access key, by clicking on the Key Tools option, located at the bottom of your Learner View menu.
E. After redeeming the key, your course(s) will be enabled.

3. Complete the online portion of the courses.

IMPORTANT! Please note it will take up to 7-10 days to apply the online theory pre-requisite credit to your Coach Centre account. If you don’t follow these steps, you won’t be able to register for the on-field workshops.

4. Register for an upcoming on-field workshop to complete the course requirements. Find the next the list of on-field workshops at www.coachcentre.ca

How to register: Go to www.coachcentre.ca

  1. Click the grey ‘Register’ button
  2. Choose ‘BC Soccer’ from the drop down box, and click ‘Next’
  3. You will now enter the registration form.  Complete the fields
  4. Once you have completed the registration form, you will have created a Coach Centre account and you should be looking at the Coach Centre home page.
  5. You will now be able to search the available courses and register!
  6. Use the assigned payment code for the course selected. *LISA will provide the course number and course code to the member clubs.
