As the uncertain nature of 2020 continues, the Vikes Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams are looking at tackling something away from the field this fall. Former teammate and Captain, Mackenzie Rigg, has been recently diagnosed with brain cancer (Astrocytoma Grade IV). In support, the Vikes are looking to raise money in his name for brain cancer research.
In an effort to fundraise, the Vikes will be collectively running 270km over the course of 3 days. This is to represent the 27 Canadians who are diagnosed with a brain tumour each and every day. These diagnoses change lives and devastate families. The Vikes are trying to do their part to help ease the burden of Canadians living with brain cancer.
If you have the means to, please consider donating to show your support!
