On Tuesday April 7th, the Lower Island Soccer Association Board and representatives from all 10 member clubs met remotely and passed a proposal to restrict heading from the U12 age groups down. Following the lead of multiple national governing bodies including the English, Scottish, and Northern Irish FA’s, LISA’s proposal is the first of its kind in British Columbia. Spearheaded by LISA Head Coach Andrew Latham the proposal is aimed at reducing the potential impact and number of concussions in the sport.
