Lakehill Soccer Association is proud to nominate this week’s LISA Footballers of the Week:
U15 Girls VIPL (West) – a true regional team, with players from Lakehill, Gorge, Juan de Fuca and Cowichan Valley. It took some time for them to come together as a group, and even more so for them to find their rhythm (no wins their first season, finished last in the league). But some consistent tutelage and loads of patience from Coach Cody Ackinclose paid off in spades. This year they finished first in their league and this weekend they won the Island A Cup final to book their trip to Provincials. They even triumphed over the most god-awful uniforms in the Lower Island! Big congrats to this week’s footballers of the week: U15 Girls VIPL West.
