Congratulations to both the Saanich Fusion U13 Girls Gold and Bays United U13 Boys Gold on winning their Coastal “B” Cup Finals this past weekend! Both teams claimed 2-1 victories over their Vancouver counterparts. LISA representatives in the U17 and U18 Boys divisions fought hard but came up just short as the U17 Bays team fell in a shootout to North Vancouver Surge while the U18 Peninsula/Prospect Lake representatives lost to North Coquitlam 2-1.
In Coastal “A” Cup competition the Vancouver Island Premier League had two representatives in the Finals with both teams bringing the trophy back to the Island. The U17 Boys Bays/Peninsula came out victorious over Vancouver FC in Aldergrove on Saturday while the U18 Girls Riptide defeated West Vancouver 2-1 in a penalty shootout to claim the title.
Congratulations to all champions and competing teams!
All focus now turns to the BC Soccer Provincial Finals on July 5-8.
