Emma Smyth

Emma Smyth:

The LIWSA is proud to nominate Emma Smyth for their last 2017 Footballer of the Week nomination.

Emma began her game officiating career at the young age of 12 and has been playing the soccer since she was 5!

As a referee she began officiating at Cordova Bay, then Saanich Fusion where she was Youth Referee of the Year in 2014.  Currently she has stepped up as Head Referee for Gorge FC transitioning into the role with great ease.  You can find her officiating games across several leagues, which include, the LIWSA, BCSPL, LISA and as some have may witnessed, lining Uvic Vikes games.

As a player Emma was a key player on Saanich Fusion teams that made repeated visits to the provincial youth championships, including winning the Provincial B Cup in 2010 and Coastal B Cup in 2012.  Emma continues on playing soccer with Gorge FC.

Congratulations Emma! All the best in the New Year!
