Fields Changed! MiniFest

North Saanich Middle School had a delivery of some portables and a large crane and therefore North Saanich Fields E and F have been moved to Parkland Rugby Fields E and F, this will not affect North Saanich games on fields A, B, C and D.

Updated maps and schedules are attached.  Please note, this will put additional pressure on parking at Blue Heron/Parkland so leave plenty of time.  Also for teams at North Saanich fields A, B, C and D (U8’s) the school board has asked us to remind and encourage our attendees not to cross any barricaded areas. It would really help with the logistics of having a huge crane on site.

CANADA SOCCER ACTIVE START SOCCER FEST

The schedule for LISA’s annual mini festival, the Canada Soccer Active Start Soccer Fest, hosted by the Peninsula Soccer Association is attached. Each team is scheduled two games. Your games will be played at Blue Heron Park or Parkland School or North Saanich School in Sidney.  We cannot stress enough to please allow plenty of extra time for parking!

All coaches are to check in at the LISA administration table at Blue Heron Park prior to their first game to pick up their T-shirts and game packages. If your first game is not at Blue Heron Park and you are unable to check-in until after your first game that will be fine.  There will be LISA representatives at the tournament all day should you have any questions for them.

A concession will be open for the tournament at Blue Heron Park starting at 8:30am with breakfast burritos, burgers, tacos and other regular soccer favourites. There is also a first aid attendant in attendance at Blue Heron Park for the tournament should you need one.

This is a tight schedule with little, if any, time in-between games so make sure you arrive well enough ahead of time in order to find parking and to have your team ready to play. There are 158 teams participating and parking is limited so it would be a great idea to car pool.

Also there will be little, if any, warm-up time allowed on your field of play so you will need to find a suitable area nearby for your players to warm up safely and properly.

The home team (listed first on the schedule) is responsible for the game ball and must wear a jersey colour different than its opponent.

This is not a competitive tournament. There are no trophies to be won and no standings will be recorded. Do your best to make it a fun and enjoyable time for everyone, including the game officials.

All U8 games are two halves of 20 minutes each, 4 v 4.

All U9 games are two halves of 25 minutes each, 6 v 6.

All U10 games are two halves of 25 minutes each, 6 v 6.

As previously noted, this is a tight schedule so no additional time can be added to either half.
