West Coast Capitals prepare for visit from Washington Crossfire:Judging from the 5pm ferry from Vancouver the Crossfire were not planning on taking any chances this weekend as they send four of their “Olympic Development” teams to play against the Island Super Y team.  The West Coast Capitals B13 and 14 teams opened their seasons strong against the Coastal teams and the Crossfire look like they are taking no chances in trying to secure their berths to the North American finals in Tampa Bay, Florida.  In addition the G13 and 14 Crossfire teams proudly sported their “premier player” jackets which further proved how seriously the Crossfire are taking the Island teams as potential obstacles to their plans on dominating the North American Nationals in late November.Lower Island President, Tim Satterford who was also on the ferry crossing said he felt flattered that the Crossfire were concerned enough as to the quality of the Island team to send their very best.“For a District with less than 15% of the players available to Northern Washington we are obviously putting pressure on our American friends that they are feeling uncertain of their results.  Our teams need to see the competition that is outside of the BC borders.  Our players can only improve by playing stronger, more skilled opposition. - where is the challenge in the easy win?  I am truly flattered when I see the Crossfire send their best instead of their reserve squads.”***************
