As it now stands LISA does not plan on scheduling any league games or District Cup matches on the March 17/18 and March 24/25 weekends. This does not include inter-district cup matches as those competitions are not under the jurisdiction of the Lower Island.
For teams entered in the “B” Cup competition this is a reminder that a player must have played in at least one regularly-scheduled league game in order to be eligible for the “B” Cup. In addition youth-to-youth permits are not valid for any cup match.
Determining League Champions
Unless a team has mathematically clinched first place in an active schedule or league play is over a league champion can not be declared. If you have any questions regarding the determining of league champions contact the district scheduler, Brian Davis, at ag9@telus.net
At this time of the season communication between teams, their opponents and their clubs is very importantas there is little opportunity before the deadline for league play to make up games that do not get played. Remember that it is the responsibility of the teams involved to contact each other to confirm their games for each weekend.
